Data Centre Principal Engineers

The firm is building a core operations team and wishes to appoint Principal Engineers to provide Electrical, Mechanical and BMS support. The Positions The ideal candidates will already be located in Singapore or Malaysia, offering relevant experience in data centre operations management. Immediate appointments include the following: Principal Engineer (Electrical) – The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical devices and equipment. This includes communication systems or power generators and motors and navigation systems as well as electrical systems. The appointed individual will design, maintain, implement, or improve upon electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems. He/She will meet with customers, engineers, and other relevant parties and discuss the existing or potential engineering products and projects and ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. Principal Engineer (Mechanical) – The Mechanical Engineer is a skilled hands-on professional who will provide various services that keep data servers and hardware networks operating smoothly. This will include preventative maintenance of equipment and network devices whilst performing a variety of tasks including running cables, improving physical security, and checking utilities. This includes monitoring and maintaining the operation of all network processes and evaluation of machine temperature levels for optimal performance. Principal Engineer (BMS) – The BMS Engineer is an expert in the design installation and commissioning aspects of building management systems. This will include the design of management systems to help effectively and efficiently control a built environment, working closely with other engineers to design the graphics, software and control panels that comprise the larger BMS. The BMS Engineer will also manage existing systems by identifying and fixing issues, updating software, and continually running tests and reports. The People Interested candidates will offer good, relevant Degrees whilst offering at least 7-10+ years’ appropriate technical and operational experience relating to the management of data centre colocation in the South-East Asia market. Operating within a highly collaborative team environment, this will require a hands-on, full life-cycle capability from market research, deal evaluation, running financial models, drafting Investment Memos through deal structuring (financial, tax, legal) and completion. whilst also requiring stakeholder management with respect to site visits. There will be an accompanying requirement to perform supporting tasks relating to asset and portfolio management to monitor investment performance and support investor relations. The Person Interested candidates will ideally offer a Degree in Real Estate, Finance or similar, whilst offering 3-5 years’ post-graduate experience whilst offering experience across at least 2-3 asset types. with prior focus toward either Singapore, Australia or Japan (or all three markets!). An ability to build financial models and requisite waterfalls, interpret financial information, prepare investment memos and apply critical, commercial thought processes to support investment theses is essential.
