The Company

The company is a fast-growing Myanmar conglomerate operating across the real estate, construction and hospitality vertical. This includes the Greenfield development, leasing and management of commercial, residential and leisure assets whilst managing commercial activity within construction materials and trading. The company has aggressive plans to hire mid- and senior-level professionals across a number of critical real estate functions. This includes a need for an internationally-experienced professional to lead its real estate development division as GM/CEO.


The Position 

The appointed individual will work closely with the Group MD and key peers across the integrated business lines whilst leading a team of development-focused and project delivery professionals. The appointed individual will manage all aspects of the Development business and which will include delivering P&L objectives, the strategic development of each project, stakeholder engagement with JV and capital partners, managing all commercial parameters whilst steering project execution to meet key commercial and technical milestones. Likely projects will include a mix of commercial office/retail, residential and leisure assets with supporting infrastructure. Necessarily, there will be an accompanying need to drive all phases of development, project commercialization as well as strategy planning for asset management (including existing assets within the company’s portfolio) including the formation of key SOPs.


The Person 

The company is keen to evaluate suitable expatriate candidates offering appropriate senior leadership experience for the delivery of individual asset and master-planned developments and with a demonstrable record of strategic management and execution oversight for successful delivery, handover, and commercial stewardship. A Real Estate, Finance or Engineering Degree will be preferred, ideally supported by an MBA. Prior exposure to capital-raising and partner development complete with a network of contacts may be advantageous. For internal communication purposes, interested candidates must offer strong Mandarin and English language proficiency whilst prior international experience and a strong track record of commercial success is preferred.
