The Company

The company is a well-respected, progressive conglomerate enjoying prominent domestic market leadership within across the B2B/B2C consumer goods sector. Aside from the inspirational leadership of its founder, its rapid growth has been bolstered organically as well as via institutional investment. This has been underpinned by various strategic appointments over the years to raise capability and heighten its credentials. The company is now keen to diversify whilst expanding into new ASEAN markets and to enable this, it seeks to appoint a suitably experienced CEO to spearhead synergistic M&A and new market penetration.

The Position

Located in Singapore whilst reporting directly to the Group CEO, the appointed individual will leverage relevant P&L, business leadership and sector knowledge to strategically identify, evaluate and pursue new opportunities across ASEAN. Ideally, these will replicate or complement existing Group business units and which consist of vertically-integrated consumer-related subsidiaries (retail, wholesale, pharmacies, F&B manufacture & outlets, agri and beyond). Aside from pursuing M&A and/or organic growth objectives, the role will necessitate post-acquisition integration and stabilisation as well as direction for growth. This will include data-driven business analysis and decision-making, the embracing and inculcation of digital tools as well as a very strong customer-centric value system. Naturally, the appointed individual will build and oversee a growing portfolio whilst managing financial performance. Recommendations will be made with respect to strategy, synergy and execution by business, sector and geographic market.

The Person

Interested candidates should have entrepreneurial verve to complement Degree/MBA accreditations whilst prior P&L leadership experience within relevant Consumer-related sectors is also envisaged. Aside from strategic capability, regional business development, M&A and stakeholder engagement will be equally important attributes of the appointed individual whilst a track record of growing successful companies is essential.
