The Company

Our client is a leading financial services organization in Myanmar, operating across multiple business lines within a regulated environment. With a strong market presence and a growing portfolio, the organization is focused on strengthening its financial leadership, governance frameworks, and long-term strategic planning capabilities.

The Position

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of finance functions including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, taxation, regulatory reporting, and internal controls. The role will work closely with the senior leadership team to drive financial strategy, ensure robust governance, and support business growth initiatives. This includes leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, managing liquidity and capital planning, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements. The CFO will also play a critical role in strengthening financial systems, enhancing reporting accuracy and timeliness, managing external stakeholder relationships including auditors and regulators, and driving continuous improvement across finance operations.

The Person

The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance leader with extensive experience in financial services or similarly regulated industries, bringing strong expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. You will demonstrate a track record of operating at executive level, with the ability to partner senior stakeholders and provide strategic financial insights that influence decision-making. Strong leadership capabilities are essential, with experience building and managing high-performing finance teams, as well as driving transformation initiatives such as system upgrades or process improvements. A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is expected, along with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex, evolving business environments. Experience within emerging markets or comparable operating contexts will be highly advantageous.
