The Company

The company is a fast-growing Myanmar conglomerate operating across the real estate, construction and hospitality vertical. This includes the Greenfield development, leasing and management of commercial and residential assets whilst managing commercial activity within construction materials and trading. The company has aggressive plans to hire mid- and senior-level professionals across a number of critical real estate functions. This includes a need for an experienced Commercial Head for its Retail segment.


The Position 

The appointed individual will drive a data-driven commercial strategy relating to its flagship 300000 sqft retail asset and with special attention toward securing bold experiential concepts to create a vibrant shopping and entertainment experience. The role will establish key performance matrices to drive revenue and P&L whilst extending this to lease and marketing targets (occupancy, revenue, footfall, return on spend and similar). The appointed individual will lead vendor and tenant management to attract exciting brands, oversight of Mall operations/SOPs to meet international standards whilst closely leading the leasing/marketing team to deliver ‘wow’ marketing campaigns and events to magnify footfall and revenue targets. There will be a requirement to devise and implement a new business plan and leasing / marketing plan including tenant mix configuration, pricing strategy and promotions. Naturally, commercial strategy will be supported by market research studies, team training and development, budget/performance management and relationship management with vendors and tenants.


The Person 

Interested candidates will offer an appropriate Degree (Real Estate) and at least 10+ years relevant experience leading all commercial aspects of retail mall leasing, marketing and financial performance management. Bi-lingual English and Mandarin language proficiency is preferred whilst interested individuals should demonstrate very strong strategic leadership, business planning, resource management and tenant relationship management acumen. A track record crafting and securing new retail concepts (retail, entertainment and F&B) is desirable.
