  • B2B Services

  • Location: Yangon, Myanmar

The Company

The firm is an international company with various B2B service lines supported by a global network of offices and service operations. It has been established in Myanmar for a number of years and is now embarking upon a period of expansive growth for its outbound Personnel Services business unit. The Group wishes to appoint a Country Director to oversee all on-the-ground operations and to help support its next phase of sustainable growth.

The Position

Reporting remotely to an expatriate General Manager, the appointed individual will initially review and, where necessary, re-design Myanmar operation procedures to streamline for maximum efficiency and effectiveness of front-, middle- and back-office processes and to enable anticipated scaling up of a high-volume business. A significant aspect of the position is the need to understand international Client demand whilst ensuring that Myanmar in-country operations has the capacity to execute the planning, sourcing, administrative processing and logistical management of scalable contracted, commercial services. As such, the appointed individual will closely oversee the A-z of business operations whilst ensuring effective cross-functional communications and alignment of processes to meet commercial objectives. As operations are stabilised, the appointed individual will increasingly be tasked with oversight and completion of new commercial proposals, client relationship management and subsequent operations execution.

This is a super opportunity for an experienced Operations Leader seeking a new challenge within a business that is anticipated to enjoy strong growth over the coming 2-3 years and beyond. This should also confer concurrent personal and professional growth.

The Person

Interested candidates will be Burmese, offering an international Degree and/or MBA, complemented by prior overseas work experience within an international company. In addition, interested candidates should offer strong leadership and day-to-day management expertise with formative experience secured within operations and/or commercial management from within a B2B services environment although experience within hospitality may also be attractive. A strong pedigree of proven leadership, planning and organizational skills and cross-functional appreciation for business operations is essential. The appointed individual will also offer strong bi-lingual Burmese/English communication skills with an adept ability to motivate teams.

In return, the company will offer an attractive salary (circa USD$4-6k per month) plus bonus and insurance.
