The Company

The organisation is a dynamic, entrepreneurial Group operating a series of listed and unlisted real estate funds across most real estate asset types. It has built a global asset portfolio and it continues to develop new product strategy whilst also harnessing modern tools to optimise its business and asset operations (digitalisation/AI and similar). Its internal Research and Business Analysis team is central to its business and operational decision-making process including the provision of appropriate guidance across all senior stakeholders. There is now a requirement to appoint a Deputy Head and who will undertake a position that will support both investment/asset management decision-making as well as analysis of proposed strategic initiatives that will strengthen the Group from short- to long-term.


The Position

Reporting to the Head of Department, whilst closely collaborating with key internal stakeholders and oversight of a junior team member, the appointed individual will enjoy an opportunity to support business-wide investment decision-making and ensuring that in-depth data analysis results in positive real impact.

The appointed individual will be broadly involved in property research from the macroeconomic perspective whilst determining and advising the likely impact of macro trends upon the global and regional markets, by product or sector-specific and with key strategy and/or risk assessment factors that may need to be considered that will need to be considered. Such research and advise is likely to signal potential opportunities and threats whilst influencing buy/sell/hold analysis. This will require significant ability to join the dots from a macro lens and applied across all lines of Group business complete with stakeholder management and the crafting of insightful reports/papers labelled as an independent 'house view'.

In addition, there will be an accompanying requirement engage and support corporate research / business strategy to address initiatives that may positively impact business processes and Group operating assets - such as digitalisation, AI, renewables - to review best practices and cost/benefit analysis of the introduction prior to the potential implementation of such tools/services/hardware.


The Person

Interested candidates will offer an appropriate Degree/Masters’ (Economics/Real Estate/Finance) complete with 5-10 years’ relevant experience undertaking macroeconomic and/or property-related or equity research with strong ability to gather and analyse rich data whilst converting this to relevant and insightful stakeholder guidance and calls to action. Given the nature of the position, interested individuals will possess extremely strong Excel and Powerpoint skills whilst offering appropriate proficiency of economic and financial tools (Bloomberg, MatLab, WorldBank, CapitalQ and similar).

In exchange, based upon relevant experience, the company will offer an annual salary within the range of $100-150k +/-.
