Cluster Management – Retail & Mixed-Use Portfolio
Salary/Package – cUS$150k nett
The company is dynamic, well-respected and offers a strong brand presence in Cambodia whilst building a broad portfolio of business interests. Supported by a massive investment commitment, its Retail division will grow at an exponential rate over the next 5 years. Consisting of vertically-integrated shopping centres, supermarkets & CVS, mixed-use, F&B and leisure components, the firm aims to become the clear market-leader. The firm now wishes to appoint a vastly experienced leader to manage all aspects of property and facilities operations across its real estate cluster. This is a fantastic ‘blank canvas’ long-term growth opportunity within a fast-expanding, emerging market.
Reporting to an expatriate CEO, the successful candidate will primarily drive every aspect of Retail Mall, Supermarkets and Mixed-Use (office/retail/hotel) operations. This will include a growing cluster of concepts comprising a mega mall (to 160k sqm) and multiple neighborhood malls (to 45k sqm) and which will include local and international fashion retailers, supermarket, Food Court, F&B and leisure and entertainment tenants. Making technical and operational recommendations from the planning and development phase, the appointed individual will prepare OPEX budgets as well as developing a blueprint for successful operations management; this will include the development of SOPs for maintenance, cleaning, security and safety, concierge, parking, outsource vendor tendering, appointment and management whilst seeking to establish the highest standards of operational and service excellence. Necessarily, the scope will include hiring, training and leading a local team whilst closely collaborating with leasing, marketing and promotions and project management personnel. Over time, there will be an accompanying need to develop appropriate asset enhancement projects to improve asset performance and to sustain the value proposition of each to the Owner, tenants and customers.
Interested candidates will be Degree-holders (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) who possess 10-15+ years’ relevant property management leadership experience comprising facility engineering and operations maintenance management preferably having been exposed to multi-format retail mall, mixed-use (office/retail) and/or hospitality environments. Prior experience gained within Asia is essential complete with a proven ability to adapt to new markets and to work within cross-cultural teams.
