Strategic Leadership & Sales-Focused Position

Location: HCMC, Vietnam
The company sits within the portfolio of a Private Equity firm and which is heavily focused toward education & training and consumer services related platforms. Building on success elsewhere within SE Asia, it is now the franchise partner for a premium service education business in Vietnam. Having taken over and fine-tuned operational processes across a number of pre-existing service delivery centres, it is now ready and poised for further growth via centre expansion and student enrollments. To enable its mission, the firm seeks to appoint a proven, entrepreneurial, sales-driven professional as General Manager.
Reporting to the Group COO, the GM will be challenged to deliver strong P&L results complemented by a mission to aggressively grow the membership-driven education/training services business across multiple existing training centres and through additional centre expansion. This will include a need to lead and motivate a strong sales, marketing and service team to meet Centre targets (customer acquisition to drive membership fee revenue) whilst also taking responsibility for end-to-end customer engagement. Necessarily, the key challenge is to build a strong sales culture with teams consistently driving a pipeline of new members and ably complemented by a service-delivery team that encourages member renewal. Naturally, the role will also require full responsibility for direction-setting, building a pipeline of new centre locations whilst managing and monitoring results – sales, member feedback data – for continuous operational improvement. Naturally, there is also a need to cultivate a powerful brand reputation to reinforce the high-quality, premium product reputation of the business.
You will be at the helm of a successful, high-growth business whilst masterminding its next phase of growth whilst the Group plans significant growth of its education-related portfolio thereby offering long-term growth. Successful topline growth and P&L performance will translate to a rewarding annual compensation package.
Interested candidates should ideally offer a Degree, a fluent command of English and a very strong record of sales and business leadership within results-driven B2C environment (such as gym/fitness centre, travel/fractional ownership and similar consumer services platforms). The appointed individual will demonstrate high energy, strong business development, sales ‘hunter’ and P&L management capability whilst demonstrating attention to service delivery and member feedback to build a strong and sustainable brand reputation. Current, or prior, exposure to Vietnam will be advantageous, however, experience gained elsewhere within the emerging markets of SE Asia will also be welcomed. An expatriate appointment is anticipated, although applications by suitably-driven and experienced Vietnamese nationals will be welcomed.
