The Company
Our client is a diversified industrial and energy group in Myanmar with expanding interests across heavy industry, infrastructure, manufacturing, and large-scale industrial operations. As part of its long-term growth strategy, the group is strengthening its manufacturing leadership capabilities to support operational scalability, production optimization, and future expansion initiatives within its industrial portfolio.
The Position
The General Manager – Cement will oversee the end-to-end management of the cement manufacturing operation, with full responsibility for plant performance, production output, operational efficiency, maintenance, safety, quality standards, and overall business performance. The role will lead day-to-day plant operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, engineering, utilities, supply chain coordination, and cost optimization.
Working closely with senior leadership and technical stakeholders, the successful candidate will play a critical role in improving plant reliability, strengthening operational systems, and enhancing production capabilities within a large-scale industrial manufacturing environment. The position will also oversee operational planning, workforce management, preventive maintenance strategies, budgeting, and plant modernization initiatives to ensure sustainable long-term operational performance.
The role requires a commercially aware operational leader capable of balancing production efficiency, quality, cost management, and safety standards while managing cross-functional teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Exposure to large integrated manufacturing facilities, modern production technologies, and internationally influenced operational environments will be highly valued.
The Person

Candidates with exposure to high-capacity manufacturing facilities, modern production systems, and internationally benchmarked operational environments across Asia will be viewed favorably.
Strong technical and operational leadership experience across production, maintenance, engineering, process optimization, utilities, and plant performance management is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience driving operational improvements, leading large plant teams, implementing structured manufacturing systems, and supporting capacity expansion or plant enhancement initiatives.
Candidates should also possess strong stakeholder management, leadership, and people development capabilities, with the ability to operate effectively in dynamic and evolving industrial environments. Experience working alongside regional technical teams, international suppliers, EPC partners, or multinational operational standards frameworks would be advantageous.
