The Company 

The organisation is a large, multi-sector listed conglomerate boasting several highly successful international divisions. As a further extension to its award-winning Real Estate portfolio, the Group now wishes to establish a Senior Living division initially focused toward both Singapore and China markets. As such, it is seeking appropriately experienced General Managers to lead the division in each country.

 

The Position       

Reporting to the COO, the appointed General Manager will enjoy a rare blank canvas opportunity to identify and propose an optimised commercial solution, establish the business model and business plan for subsequent execution and growth. This is likely to combine real estate investment/asset development in appropriate elder care residential and nursing facilities, the development/integration of Operations Management (for independent living, assisted care and similar) as well as identifying value-add customised solutions. Necessarily, this will include an initial requirement to heavily research the market to understand demand/needs, gap analysis, goals and KPIs that will become the cornerstone to the business model and which will become aligned to the short- and long-term business strategy of the real estate division too. In particular, the GM will identify market gaps and differentiation opportunities including the inculcation of innovation and/or transformation with a view to creating an attractive product to the target demographic. This will include building appropriate partnerships with relevant government ministries and agencies as well as reviewing feasibility studies and due diligence for Senior Living proposals.

 

The Person 

Interested candidates are expected to offer a Degree and, preferably, an MBA, complete with a strong background and proven record within the Senior Living industry including in-depth knowledge relating to design, customer-centricity and experimentation and innovation (including the incorporation of digital tools, AI and similar). In addition, candidates should offer experience establishing a new business whilst driving growth, delivering positive P&L and performance whilst building and motivating a team with a zesty, entrepreneurial spirit.
