The Company
Our client is a well-established organisation in Myanmar with a strong market presence and an ongoing focus on growth, operational excellence, and organisational capability. As the business continues to evolve, it is seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the Human Resources function and build a high-performing, people-focused organisation. This is a key leadership appointment offering the opportunity to partner closely with the executive leadership team to develop HR strategies that support business growth, strengthen organisational capability, and foster a high-performance culture.
The Position
Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, the Head of Human Resources will provide both strategic and operational leadership across the entire Human Resources function. The role will be responsible for developing and executing people strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring efficient, compliant, and effective HR operations. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of Human Resources, including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, HR Governance, Compliance, HR Information Systems, employee engagement, and organisational development.
A key priority will be strengthening HR processes, policies, and systems to improve operational efficiency and employee experience throughout the organisation. The role will drive initiatives in leadership development, succession planning, performance management, talent retention, organisational design, and change management while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practices. Working closely with senior business leaders, the Head of Human Resources will act as a trusted business partner, providing practical HR advice, supporting organisational change, and building leadership capability to ensure the business has the talent, structure, and culture required to achieve its strategic objectives.
The Person
The successful candidate will possess at least 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including senior leadership responsibility for the full HR function within a medium to large organisation. They will bring broad HR generalist expertise across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, HR Governance, Compliance, and HR Systems.
Candidates should have a proven track record of leading HR strategy while maintaining strong operational execution. Experience driving organisational development, leadership capability, workforce planning, employee engagement, HR transformation, and process improvement initiatives will be highly regarded. Strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence and partner with senior executives are essential. The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR leader who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational leadership while fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and people-centric culture.
