The Company 

This is a superb, pioneering opportunity to join an exceptional international Group enjoying stellar growth across APAC whilst maintaining its mission toward real estate investment, development, asset and fund management of Greenfield/Brownfield industrial & logistics assets on behalf of its institutional investors. It has built a highly cosmopolitan team and a regional portfolio in excess of US$12bn and its growth will continue apace throughout 2021 and beyond as the company enters new markets, such as Malaysia. A number of new, key appointments are now required, including an Investment Manager.

The Position 

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the appointed Investment Manager will be KL-based whilst supporting the end to-end of the investment cycle. This will include financial and tax analysis, feasibility studies and deal due diligence underpinned by detailed financial modelling and  deal underwriting through to the crafting of Investment Memos for each proposed development project or asset acquisition. The role will include market research and analysis to develop appropriate competitor benchmarks as well as market- and internal- valuations to underpin modelling, forecasting and feasibility proposals. Necessarily, the role will also include associated Capital Markets proposals for asset/project funding via current and/or new capital partners. Post transaction, the Investment Manager will closely collaborate with Asset Management to monitor asset and portfolio level financial performance whilst reviewing the impact of capital expenditures and similar against target returns.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer an appropriate Degree (Real Estate or Finance) complete with 6-8 years’ prior experience within a Real Estate Fund / REIT environment, preferably including some exposure to international markets. To be successful, you will offer very strong financial modelling, analysis and deal underwriting experience complete with a strong work ethic to meet deadlines and excellent interpersonal skills to forge team collaboration.

In exchange the company will offer a salary in the region of MYR 250,000 – 280,000 plus benefits.
