The Company

Our client is an established energy and petroleum downstream organization operating refinery facilities in Myanmar. The business is focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, strengthening maintenance capability, and maintaining safe and efficient operations.

The Position

The Rotary Engineer / Supervisor will be responsible for the reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and performance improvement of rotating equipment across refinery operations.

The position will support equipment including pumps, compressors, generators, gearboxes, blowers, fans, motors, vacuum pumps, and associated auxiliary systems. Responsibilities will include preventive and predictive maintenance, vibration and condition monitoring, equipment overhaul, shaft alignment, lubrication management, failure investigation, Root Cause Analysis, and reliability improvement.

The role will participate in shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning and startup activities, supervise contractors and service providers, coordinate with OEMs and equipment specialists, and provide technical guidance and training to local maintenance teams.

The Person

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Rotating Equipment Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline, with approximately 7–10 years of rotating-equipment maintenance experience within refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, power generation, energy, or heavy industrial environments.

At least 3 years in a supervisory or lead maintenance capacity is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, gearboxes, bearings, mechanical seals, lubrication, shaft alignment, vibration analysis, condition monitoring, preventive/predictive maintenance, and RCA. Experience with CMMS/SAP PM and international OEMs will be advantageous.
