The organisation is a dynamic, entrepreneurial Group as both investor and developer with a broad portfolio that consists of listed funds and unlisted real estate assets located in Europe, SE Asia and Australia. It is now poised to extend its business vertical to include Private Equity Real Estate and with the formation of a pioneer team that will undertake the immediate groundwork to establish product ideas, form capital partnerships and portfolio reporting structures as the precursor to its first PE Fund.
Reporting to the CIO, whilst closely collaborating with a lean investment team, the appointed individual will enjoy a multi-faceted role. This will include close collaboration across the Group BUs to explore potential JV affiliations for new development projects and the review of existing balance sheet portfolio assets and packaged to potential institutional capital partners for investment. Initial product development will be combined with a need to cultivate and manage investor relationships through the pre- and post-investment phase complete with the development, implementation and management portfolio reporting. In the short- to medium-term, the strategic direction is to build a strong track record via asset-by-asset deals and with active engagement with LPs throughout as a precursor to the launch of Fund and/or separate account vehicles from the mid-term and beyond.
This is a super opportunity for an experienced PE investment management professional to join a new PERE platform at a nascent stage and to craft product development in conjunction with Group stakeholders, build investor relationships and to help with the strategic roadmap toward portfolio and funds management.
Interested candidates will offer appropriate Degree/Masters’ (Economics/Real Estate/Finance) complete with 12+ years’ relevant experience that includes investment and product development, investor relationship management, exposure to a broad range of asset types and prior experience of portfolio/fund reporting. In addition, prior exposure to the markets of SE Asia, Europe and Australia will be advantageous. Interested individuals will offer appropriate real estate investment credentials/track record, demonstrate an entrepreneurial verve including ‘early stage’ PE platform growth whilst offering appropriate internal and external stakeholder relationship management. Current, or prior, PERE experience is strongly preferred.
