The Company 

A first-class opportunity to join a well-respected and much-admired Global Real Estate Investor. Its integrated business model incorporates fund, investment, development and asset management and which has generated a global portfolio of around USD$100bn AUM. Its scale offers strength in depth but balanced by agile regional direction-setting. As such, it offers fabulous structural support combined with an entrepreneurial zest. The firm is now embarking upon a major growth of its Asia platform underpinned by a flagship Asia Fund and a further fund that will be launched shortly. Significant hiring is anticipated across investment and corporate functions and, due to its capital deployment and AUM growth, this includes a need to bolster its Portfolio Management team with the appointment of either an Analyst or Associate.

 

 

The Position

Reporting to an Investment Director, the appointed individuals will enjoy a well-rounded opportunity to support pre-acquisition deal feasibility, due diligence and transaction completion through to post-acquisition performance monitoring and reporting. Operating within a sector-agnostic, open-ended platform, deal analysis will include core, development and value-added opportunities across the APAC developed markets. Unlike many portfolio positions, this role will provide engagement in the end-to-end of both deal and fund cycles combining quantitative and qualitative analysis at pre-acquisition through to asset and fund level. Post-acquisition, the position will include investor reporting, business planning, support to operational decision-making, approval and monitoring of ESG initiatives, overseeing annual valuation exercises and the management of investor queries through to hold/sell analysis.

 

 

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a Degree (Real Estate, Finance, Business) and between 3-7 years of experience (5-7 would be ideal) complemented by strong quantitative skills. This will ideally have been secured within Private Fund real estate platforms and with exposure across various asset types and APAC geographies. Exposure to deal due diligence, tax and legal matters will also be advantageous. It is imperative that interested individuals possess extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, the confidence and gravitas to drive initiatives and projects and strong modelling capability.
