The Company

The company is a growing Private Equity Real Estate platform enjoying the benefit of a strong internal Sponsor with capital and resource support complemented by an array of Third-Party investors operating under separate accounts. The firm undertakes 100% and/or JV investments and asset management of core-plus and value-added assets, with recent deals in Singapore, Australia, Japan and UK. To-date, it has built a portfolio of $3.5bn AUM and with a robust appetite for further investments in First Tier developed markets of Asia. By end Q2 / early Q3, the firm wishes to bolster the team with the appointment of an Investment Associate.

 

The Position 

Reporting to the Head of Investment, the successful individual will operate within an asset agnostic environment whilst securing a super opportunity to support the firms’ expansion whilst performing real estate deal underwriting and execution in key Asia markets. Operating within a highly collaborative team environment, this will require a hands-on, full life-cycle capability from market research, deal evaluation, running financial models, drafting Investment Memos through deal structuring (financial, tax, legal) and completion. whilst also requiring stakeholder management with respect to site visits. There will be an accompanying requirement to perform supporting tasks relating to asset and portfolio management to monitor investment performance and support investor relations.

 

The Person 

Interested candidates will ideally offer a Degree in Real Estate, Finance or similar, whilst offering 3-5 years’ post-graduate experience whilst offering experience across at least 2-3 asset types. with prior focus toward either Singapore, Australia or Japan (or all three markets!). An ability to build financial models and requisite waterfalls, interpret financial information, prepare investment memos and apply critical, commercial thought processes to support investment theses is essential. A self-motivated, organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a lively, inquiring mind and a flexible disposition will also be desirable traits.

The company will offer a competitive salary (relative to background and track record) and an attractive, uncapped, performance-related bonus structure.
