Data Centre Fund
Location: Tokyo, Japan
The organisation is a subsidiary of a well-established, boutique Real Estate platform with a growing portfolio of diversified funds and separate accounts with a focus toward the first-tier APAC markets. Its Data Centre Fund is in the early stages of growth and with a need to bolster the team to support regional deals. In Japan, this includes the appointment of an Associate.
Reporting to the CEO/Head, Investment, whilst closely collaborating with acquisition and asset management colleagues, the appointed individual will enjoy a well-rounded to support capital deployment and the completion of Data Centre transactions in Japan. The role will include market studies and support to origination (broker-driven and off-market deals), financial feasibility studies and the preparation of Investment Committee memos and execution support to the due diligence and transaction completion process. The mandate will include brownfield acquisitions and greenfield development assets. The successful individual will be expected to build a network of contacts among the real estate community at the asset owner and broker level as well as professional peers within banking, legal and similar.

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree (Real Estate, Finance/Economics), bi-lingual Japanese / English language proficiency and around 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience, most probably focused toward either DC or industrial/logistics warehouse investments. Ideally, this should have been secured within a real estate fund complete with strong exposure to financial modelling, due diligence and performance analysis and a track record of supporting the full investment life-cycle.
