The Company

The company is a growing Private Equity Real Estate platform enjoying the benefit of a strong internal Sponsor with capital and resource support complemented by an array of Third-Party investors operating under separate accounts. The firm undertakes investment and asset management of core-plus and value-added assets, including recent high-profile deals in Australia to complement prior transactions in Singapore, UK and Japan. To-date it has built a portfolio in excess of $2bn AUM and with a robust appetite for further investments in Tier 1 cities over the next few years. To bolster the team, provide appropriate finance stewardship, fund structuring and team management, there is an immediate requirement for an Associate.

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Investment, the successful individual will have a superb opportunity to support the firms’ expansion whilst performing real estate deal underwriting and execution in key global markets. Operating within a highly collaborative team environment, this will require a hands-on, full life-cycle capability from research, evaluation, running financial models, drafting Investment Memos and deal structuring (financial, tax, legal) whilst also requiring stakeholder management with respect to site visits. There will be an accompanying requirement to perform supporting tasks relating to asset and portfolio management to monitor investment performance, ongoing market research and fund-raising / investor relations.

Focus over the next 12-24 months will gravitate toward multifamily and office assets within 1st tier markets.

The Person

Interested candidates will ideally offer a Degree in Real Estate, Finance or similarly related subject, whilst offering 4-7 years’ post-graduate experience. Prior experience managing and completing Office or Multifamily transactions is preferred whilst an ability to build financial models and requisite waterfalls, interpret financial information, prepare investment memos and apply critical, commercial thought processes to support investment theses will similarly be essential. A self-motivated, organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a lively, inquiring mind and a flexible disposition will also be desirable traits.

The company will offer a competitive salary and uncapped performance-related bonus structure.
