The company now seeks a well-rounded General Counsel to support its mission and ongoing expansion of services and capacity.

 

The Position

The appointed individual will manage the legal function, oversee the work of external counsel and lead corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives whilst providing effective legal advice to the Executive Management Team. As a result, the GC will be directly involved in hospital and healthcare-related business transactions and which will include acquisitions (M&A) and the negotiation of critical managed care and supply chain contracts. The GC will be expected to advise future business structuring, financing schemes, issues/risk relating to patient care solutions and similar. This will also include the initiation and/or defence of litigation proceedings whilst managing and successfully concluding all settlements. There will be an accompanying requirement for the legal team to remain conversant with laws, legal process and regulatory compliance matters pertaining KSA whilst ensuring key stakeholders are educated and advised as appropriate complete with recommendations to the business operation.

The Person

This position requires a Degree in Law with at least 12 years’ PQE as a lawyer in private practice or in-house offering core strengths in corporate commercial law, commercial contracts and corporate governance. Knowledge of KSA law and regulations affecting corporate and patient care operations by a healthcare provider including prior exposure to the KSA Ministry of Health (MOH) is expected. People management, business agility, analytical-thinking and resource cost efficiency experience are all preferred.
