The company now wishes to appoint a business-minded, solutions-driven individual as Head of Legal.


The Position

Reporting to the C-suite, the appointed individual will lead an experienced team whilst enjoying a broad, multi-faceted position within a complex commercial environment whilst interfacing with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The appointee will be fully-engaged in the review, drafting and management of commercial contracts including terms negotiation (sales and vendor agreements), provision of advice to senior management peers with respect to business operations (marketing, IP & trademarks, real estate), competition law, investment law and corporate law whilst advising potential risk and ensuring that all such laws are monitored, updated and rigorously observed and applied. The scope will necessarily include compliance to stringent regulatory controls complete with a need to liaise with, and manage, government authorities. Building strong and trusted relationships with external stakeholders (customers, partners, external counsel and Government) will also be integral to the position.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a Law Degree, at least 15+ years’ PQE commercial law including several years’ senior leadership experience, strong personal and professional ethics and an ability to work under pressure within a complex environment. Interested candidates must demonstrate an ability to provide sound legal advice/judgement including appropriate strategies to drive commercial success and/or mitigate business risk. Prior exposure to a highly regulated environment will be advantageous. The company is most interested to consider very experienced Repatriate or Expatriate candidates offering international experience.
