The Company

This is an exceptional ‘pioneering’ opportunity to join a heavyweight international real estate investor, developer and fund manager as it enters Thailand. Noted for the development industrial & logistics assets and recent pivoting into data centres and renewables, the firm is bolstered by exceptional capital partners which continue to support regional portfolio growth. From a planned base in Bangkok, a number of appointments are anticipated as the company builds a core team for 2022 and beyond. This includes a Head of Projects to lead full life-cycle development of greenfield build-to-suit and spec-build logistics assets.

The Position

Reporting to an internationally-experienced Country Head, whilst gradually building and managing a project management delivery team, the appointed individual will oversee proposed greenfield built-to-suit, spec-build projects from strategic planning through to delivery. Whilst managing multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced environment, the role will incorporate project planning, risk and safety studies and the establishment of appropriate quality controls whilst developing processes to meet project milestones (time, cost, quality) and satisfy local building authority requirements. This will include the appointment and co-ordination of project consultants and contractors, as well as resolving technical matters. The appointed individual will monitor project budgets and ensure appropriate file management of drawings and warranties through to project completion and hand-over to asset management and operational teams. Given the industry-wide push for innovation and sustainability, the appointed individual will drive continuous improvement including the adoption and implementation of new technology.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer an appropriate Degree (Civil / Architecture) complete with at least 15 years’ relevant real estate project management experience including senior leadership and team responsibility. Aside from offering bi-lingual English/Thai proficiency and strong interpersonal skills, interested candidates will offer strong knowledge of construction practices, contract laws, project controls and sound appreciation for relevant building codes. Travel across Thailand is anticipated
