Headquartered in Europe, the company develops, operates and maintains AI-controlled heating-cooling systems for large-scale commercial and industrial buildings. With an ongoing commitment to R&D and a highly collaborative solutions-driven business model, the firm helps its high-profile, international clients to consume energy in a smarter, efficient and low-cost manner whilst positively reducing carbon footprint to support Net Zero targets. The company seeks to complement its European success story with robust and accelerated growth across Asia. There is now a need to appoint a Sales Development Manager in Singapore.
Based in Singapore, whilst reporting to the HQ-based Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and the Regional Manager (Asia), the appointed individual will enjoy a B2B sales-focused role designed to identify, target and acquire new customers in Singapore and SEA whilst actively engaging with key decision-makers within asset-owners (real estate, factories and similar). Whilst closely collaborating with a Pre-Sales Engineer as well as a project delivery team, the appointee will be focused toward new customer engagement, pitch presentations around the end-to-end technical solution, service delivery, cost-sharing model and performance measurement whilst appropriately preparing and negotiating commercial agreements to close deals. Responsibility will naturally extend to post-sales, post-integration customer relationship management as well as the ongoing reporting of current and future sales pipeline forecasts.
The solution typically delivers an impressive energy cost saving of 40% and, as such, this is a fabulous ‘impact’ opportunity for an ambitious ‘hunter’, possessing a strong interest in sustainability and energy-efficiency for the built-asset building systems environment.
Interested candidates will offer a good Degree (Business), perhaps also having recently completed an MBA of Masters in Sustainability whilst remaining commercially-focused, and around 5-7 years post-graduate experience focused toward B2B sales and business development focused toward technical solutions (NOT products). Prior exposure gained within the energy management sector for real asset Owners would be advantageous but not essential, although a network of contacts within commercial real estate, logistics and manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred. Critically, the appointed individual should be tenacious and have the necessary grit and determination to build strong new customer pipelines whilst connecting the dots between customer ‘problems’ (the opportunity) and addressing this with a customised presentation of product and service delivery (solution); this will require excellent listening skills and an ability to craft a compelling solution and ability to build strong relationships.
The company will offer an annual salary in the region of circa $75-85k+/- per annum-complemented by an annual bonus. The initial salary is ‘modest’ but expected to grow in parallel to the growth of the Asia business.
