Job description

  • Real Estate Value-Add Fund

  • APAC Coverage

  • Location: Singapore

The Company

The organisation is a well-established, entrepreneurial Real Estate investor and fund manager with a diversified portfolio of assets (logistics, office, retail, student accommodation) across the core APAC markets. Having enjoyed a positive track record, its open-ended fund will secure additional capital for further acquisitive growth complete with a need to bolster the Asset Management team.

The Position

Reporting to a seasoned, expatriate Fund Manager, whilst closely collaborating with acquisition, property management and finance teams, the successfully appointed individual will drive performance and generate investment returns to the asset plan. In particular, this will include oversight of leasing/marketing and AEI initiatives, half-yearly hold/sell analysis and recommendations, financial and variance analysis, portfolio valuation exercises and reporting with respect to portfolio performance as well as taking ownership for asset sustainability programmes. The position will require strategic input with respect to the portfolio as well as the direction of on-the-ground external property and asset management teams. Naturally, the appointed individual will also support pre-acquisition analysis and due diligence of proposed assets whilst also managing asset disposals. The position is likely to cover at least 3-4 geographies and asset types across Singapore, Aus/NZ, Japan, Korea and HK.

Why consider this position: the opportunity provides regional exposure across an array of assets helmed by a seasoned, well-respected international Fund Manager. The company culture is positive, vibrant and highly sociable.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree (Real Estate, Finance/Economics) from a noted University and around 7-12+/- years of relevant post-graduate experience. This should have been secured within an institutional real estate fund/investor complete with extremely strong exposure to financial modelling, due diligence and performance analysis including the end-to-end of the asset value creation.  The position will suit a confident, outgoing and inquisitive individual seeking a collegiate, collaborative and empowered team environment. Exposure to multiple asset types (including Office) would be preferred as well as at least 2 of the target markets.

The company will offer an attractive salary relative to the experience and record of the appointed individual.
