The Company

An excellent opportunity to join an exceptional international Group that has enjoyed stellar success across APAC in recent years whilst building a regional portfolio in excess of US$12bn. Its growth is set to continue bolstered by significant capital for deployment. Presently, there a need to secure an experienced VP, Development to support and drive integrated business development and delivery of customised build-to-suit warehouse logistics / industrial assets.

 

The Position   

Reporting to the Head of Development, the appointed individual will enjoy a commercial, client-servicing focused role with an end-to-end portfolio that includes some support to business development (origination) and development management (project execution) in Singapore whilst leveraging the support of in-country BD and development/project management personnel. As such, the appointed individual will enjoy a front-office client relationship management role (specification briefings, support to secure land/asset acquisitions, corporate partner development and careful consideration of commercial viability) whilst closely collaborating with the fund/investment team to manage proposed projects from initial feasibility studies through product development and pricing/leasing terms. There will be a need to customise to meet Client needs for Build-to-Suit warehouse and distribution centre assets whilst steering the subsequent project delivery processes including risk mitigation and milestones. Steering multiple concurrent projects with the support of junior colleagues, there is likely to be personal engagement for more complex, high-value, flagship projects. This will necessitate full control of project and budget planning and the management of outsourced Consultants, Architects and building Contractors until each asset is completed. A critical aspect of the position will be to drive profitability and deliver investment returns to capital partners whilst ensuring value-added opportunities (asset enhancement, value engineering, floor plate optimisation) are well-conceived.

 

The Person

Offering current or prior experience in Singapore, interested candidates will possess a Degree in Real Estate/Civil Engineering/Architecture and, ideally, supported by an MBA/Masters in Finance whilst offering sound experience (12+ years) gained in Development Management and preferably complemented with Business Development/Client Engagement exposure too. Prior exposure to Industrial and Logistics assets is also preferred. Aside from demonstrable supporting new business and land deals, building strong client networks (corporate clients) and the successful on-time & within budget delivery of Greenfield projects, the successful individual is expected to possess drive, passion whilst upholding the firm’s strong collaborative, teamwork culture. Prior experience gained within both Developer and Fund/REIT environments may be preferred.
