To support its growing operations, there is now an immediate need to hire a Head of Outbound Logistics and Manpower Procurement to lead key procurement and logistics functions.

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the appointed individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing procurement processes and policies aligned with the company's business goals and strategies. The Head of Outbound Logistics and Manpower Procurement will lead all sourcing activities in compliance with the company’s sourcing processes, continuously improving procurement efficiencies by integrating new tools and methodologies. The role requires active collaboration with key stakeholders to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities while driving operational improvements across logistics and manpower procurement.

A critical aspect of the role is overseeing procurement for outbound logistics, including third-party logistics (3PL), manpower contracts for warehouses, and leases for warehouse facilities. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for procurement aspects related to renovation and construction projects, ensuring compliance with governance standards and audit requirements. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and service reliability. This includes implementing supplier evaluation frameworks, conducting benchmarking exercises, and ensuring supplier adherence to business conduct standards.

The Person

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience in outbound logistics and manpower procurement is required, along with a strong understanding of strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management. The candidate should possess advanced analytical skills, strong financial acumen, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Strong leadership and project management skills are essential, as the role requires managing a team while driving high-performance procurement strategies. The ability to communicate effectively, negotiate with suppliers, and collaborate cross-functionally is critical for success. The candidate should also be adaptable to changing market conditions, capable of making strategic purchasing decisions, and able to implement innovative procurement practices that align with international trade regulations and sustainability principles.
