The Company

The company is a noted market-leading Private Equity platform focused toward emerging market impact investments. The team is cosmopolitan, highly entrepreneurial and hugely passionate with respect to its core mission. In the last decade, it has successfully invested $1.8bn in financial institutions whilst overseeing profitable growth but which has also contributed to the financial inclusion of more than 250 million customers. Having secured well-established institutional Capital support, the firm is now set to bolster its Asia investment team. In Singapore, this includes two immediate appointments at the level of Senior Manager and Associate Director.

 

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Investment, the appointed Associate Director will enjoy full life-cycle responsibility for deal-sourcing, evaluation, valuation underwriting, due diligence, the review and support of investment memos, terms negotiation and transaction management through to active performance management of each portfolio company. Where appropriate, his will include necessary operational measures to strengthen each company (resources, tools, technology) to ensure ongoing value creation and sustainable growth is accomplished prior to potential exits. There will be enterprise-wide collaboration beside the provision of mentoring and leadership to Analysts and Investment Officers within the Singapore team. Concurrently, there will be a requirement to build appropriate networks across the financial services sector whilst identifying and presenting trends and ideas that may be converted into new investment opportunities.

Investments will be focused toward Financial Services & FinTech technology sector across SE Asia.

This is a superb opportunity to assume a senior appointment within a renowned market-leader offering significant ‘dry powder’ for investment transactions. In particular, it is most suited to PE / Corporate Finance professionals who are passionate toward impact investments that positively influence and shape lives.

 

The Person

Interested candidates will offer good Degree and/or Masters’ accreditations in Finance, Business, Economics or similar from noted academic institutions and a minimum of 8+ years’ PE/Corporate Finance/M&A experience including in-depth knowledge of the financial services-focused ecosystem (MFI, FinTech and similar) preferably with exposure and genuine interest and passion toward emerging market geographies (including practical experience of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand or Philippines). In particular, interested candidates must be self-driven, resourceful and able to multi-task whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines, able to process abstract information/investment ideas and comfortable proposing added-value investment prospects supported by financial and commercial analysis. There will be a need for travel across the Asia markets.  An ability to work in Singapore without the need for visa applications is also essential.

Salary: circa SG$200-280k p.a.
