The Company

The organization is one of Myanmar’s leading healthcare groups, supplying pharmaceutical and medical products through an extensive national distribution network. With expanding manufacturing capabilities, growing product lines, and increased operational scale, the Group is strengthening its financial governance, reporting accuracy, and internal control environment. As part of this continued evolution, the company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support enterprise-wide financial discipline and operational excellence.

The Position

The Financial Controller will oversee the end-to-end financial control, accounting, and reporting functions across the Group’s operating entities. The role is accountable for ensuring full compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards, maintaining strong internal controls and SOPs, and driving timely and accurate financial reporting.

The appointed individual will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, manage consolidation across subsidiaries, and supervise all statutory filings, audits, and tax compliance activities. The role will also support financial planning, budgeting, cashflow management, and treasury operations, working closely with the CFO to ensure financial stability and optimal capital allocation. A key component of the role includes strengthening governance frameworks, monitoring risk exposure, improving cost controls—particularly within manufacturing—and ensuring operational efficiency through robust accounting practices.

The Person

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA preferred. He/She should have at least 8–10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, audit, or financial control roles within manufacturing, trading, or distribution businesses. Experience within pharmaceutical, FMCG, or other regulated industries will be highly valued.

Candidates must demonstrate strong technical knowledge in IFRS, GAAP principles, internal controls, taxation, ERP/MRP systems, and multi-entity reporting. Exposure to Group of Companies structures and familiarity with cross-border financial compliance is an advantage.
