The Company

Our client is a well-established healthcare manufacturing and distribution group with a strong footprint in pharmaceuticals and medical products. The organization is focused on expanding its branded portfolio beyond Myanmar through structured international distribution, strategic partnerships, and disciplined market entry across selected overseas markets.

The Position

The Head of International Sales is responsible for leading the group’s overseas sales and market expansion strategy, with a strong focus on exporting pharmaceutical and healthcare products through appointed distributors and strategic partners. The role owns distributor selection and management, international sales planning, product portfolio strategy, and commercial negotiations across multiple countries.

This position leads end-to-end international sales activities, including market assessment, sales target setting, pricing and commercial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis by market. The role works closely with regulatory affairs, supply chain, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth product registration, logistics execution, and timely market launches, while maintaining full compliance with ethical standards, corporate SOPs, and local regulations.

The role requires a commercially driven leader capable of building sustainable distributor networks, expanding market coverage, and delivering profitable year-on-year growth across assigned international markets.

The Person

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in international sales, export management, or regional commercial leadership within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or regulated consumer products. They will have a proven track record in distributor-led market expansion, international trade, and complex commercial negotiations, supported by strong understanding of import/export processes, regulatory requirements, and supply chain logistics.

A master’s degree in a scientific or business discipline is preferred, along with senior-level experience, potentially at country manager or regional head level. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial judgment, financial acumen, stakeholder influence, and the ability to represent the organization confidently with partners and at international industry forums.
