The Company

Our client is a large-scale, technology-driven organization operating nationwide with a sizeable and diverse workforce. The business is at a critical stage of strengthening its people governance, leadership capability, and HR infrastructure to support continued growth, operational complexity, and long-term sustainability. With strong emphasis on compliance, structure, and employee engagement, the organization offers a dynamic environment for a senior HR leader to make meaningful, enterprise-wide impact.

The Position

The HR Director will lead and oversee the full Human Resources function across the organization, with responsibility for HR strategy, governance, operations, and people development. This role partners closely with senior leadership to ensure HR policies, systems, and practices effectively support business objectives while maintaining strong compliance with local labor laws and internal regulations.

Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies covering attendance, leave, promotions, transfers, employee relations, recruitment, and termination processes. The role will lead onboarding programs, HR orientation, annual training plans, and company-wide engagement initiatives aligned with business needs. Ownership of performance management systems, employee motivation frameworks, and recognition programs is a core part of the mandate.

The HR Director will also oversee compensation and benefits strategy, including salary administration, benefits design, and market benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. This includes conducting compensation surveys and aligning reward frameworks with market trends and organizational priorities.

In addition, the role manages HR operations end-to-end, including payroll, social security, personal income tax, HR databases, and statutory reporting. The HR Director will lead and develop the HR team, set objectives, track progress, and ensure accurate workforce records, contracts, and documentation for a large employee population. Regular HR reporting on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, vacancies, and workforce metrics will support management decision-making.

A critical responsibility of the role is HR compliance and risk management. This includes handling sensitive employee relations cases, working closely with legal advisors, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations, and enforcing internal policies related to workplace conduct, harassment prevention, drug testing, and ethical practices across the organization.

The Person

The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience managing end-to-end HR functions within large, multi-site or people-intensive organizations. They bring strong expertise across HR policy, labor law compliance, compensation and benefits, payroll, performance management, and employee relations.

They are commercially aware, operationally grounded, and comfortable partnering with senior leadership on strategic workforce planning and organizational development. Proven experience leading HR teams, implementing structured HR systems at scale, and managing complex employee and compliance matters is essential. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance governance with employee engagement will distinguish the successful candidate.
