The Company

Our client is a well-established and diversified healthcare manufacturing and distribution group operating nationwide in Myanmar, with interests spanning pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and related consumer healthcare products. The organization operates within a highly regulated environment and places strong emphasis on governance, compliance, and ethical business practices.

The Position

The Legal and Litigation Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s end-to-end legal affairs, with primary ownership of litigation, dispute management, regulatory matters, and corporate legal support. This role oversees all litigation cases, regulatory investigations, and engagement with external law firms, ensuring matters are handled strategically and in line with business priorities.

In addition, the role provides broad corporate and commercial legal support, including advising on company law matters, governance, compliance frameworks, and day-to-day business operations. The position leads contract drafting, review, negotiation, and lifecycle management, manages the organization’s intellectual property portfolio (trademarks, copyrights, renewals, and enforcement), and develops legal strategies to mitigate risk while supporting sustainable business growth.

The Person

The ideal candidate holds an LL.B (LL.M preferred) and brings 5–7 years of progressive legal experience across corporate law, litigation, and compliance, ideally within a regulated industry or complex business environment. Strong knowledge of Myanmar Companies Law, commercial and criminal law, regulatory processes, and compliance frameworks is essential.

You will be a confident legal advisor with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, fluent in English and Myanmar language, and comfortable working closely with senior management and external stakeholders. A structured, commercially minded, and hands-on approach will be key to success in this role.
