The Company

Our client is a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing group in Myanmar, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and long-term capacity building. The organization is making significant investments in new pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and infrastructure to support future growth, regulatory upgrades, and export-oriented operations. As part of this expansion journey, the group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex pharmaceutical construction and site development initiatives.

The Position

This role holds end-to-end responsibility for managing greenfield and major expansion projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, from initial planning and design through construction, installation, commissioning, validation, and regulatory readiness. The position will lead the selection and management of civil contractors, engineering consultants, and equipment and utility suppliers, while coordinating contract finalization in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

The role will ensure that all construction, installation, and site activities comply with GMP standards, safety regulations, and stringent regulatory authority requirements. It will oversee project timelines, budgets, risk mitigation plans, and regular progress reporting to senior leadership and the Board. The position will also work closely with quality, regulatory, engineering, and operations teams to support equipment qualification, validation, technology transfer, and readiness for SRA approvals. As projects transition into operational phases, the role is expected to assume broader site leadership responsibilities to support stable manufacturing start-up.

The Person

The ideal candidate brings substantial hands-on experience in pharmaceutical construction project management, with a proven track record of independently delivering greenfield or large-scale site expansion projects in regulated manufacturing environments. They possess strong understanding of GMP facility design, cleanroom construction, utilities, equipment installation, and validation requirements, with exposure to SRA frameworks such as USFDA, MHRA, TGA, or ASEAN PIC/S. Strong leadership capability, contractor and vendor management experience, and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders are essential.
