Energy Plant
The Company
The organisation is a large, well-capitalised infrastructure and industrial group undertaking a major sustainability-led capital project as part of its long-term energy transition strategy. The platform operates within a structured governance and project management framework and is developing a technically complex, first-of-its-kind bio-energy facility. The project offers senior project professionals the opportunity to lead a high-impact build with long-term operational relevance, strong executive visibility, and exposure to best-in-class safety, engineering, and delivery standards.
The Position
Reporting into a senior project portfolio leadership function, the appointed individual will act as the client-side Site Senior Project Manager, accountable for the full construction lifecycle of a large-scale bio-energy plant. The role spans on-site leadership across design coordination, construction execution, testing, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring delivery in line with approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, and HSSE requirements.
The position involves close coordination with a specialist technology provider, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Core responsibilities include schedule and cost control, contractor oversight, risk management, quality assurance, and compliance with internal PMO governance. A strong on-site presence is essential, alongside proactive stakeholder management to identify and resolve issues early and ensure safe, timely, and operationally ready project delivery.
The Person
The ideal candidate is a senior project or construction management professional with 10–12 years’ experience delivering large-scale bio-energy, industrial, or process-plant projects, ideally in a client-side leadership role. They bring strong technical capability across design development, engineering coordination, and construction supervision, supported by a disciplined approach to cost control, scheduling, risk management, and quality assurance.
Comfortable operating within structured governance environments, they demonstrate a strong commitment to HSSE, environmental, and sustainability standards and are experienced in managing complex, multi-stakeholder delivery teams. They are hands-on, commercially aware, and decisive, with clear communication and leadership skills. A relevant engineering degree is required. No visa sponsorship is available; candidates must be able to commit to a full-time on-site role for the duration of the project.
