The Position
The Strategic Planning Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for defining the company’s long-term direction through the evaluation of growth strategies, business vision, and market opportunities. The role oversees enterprise-wide strategic planning, resource alignment, and the pursuit of new business models and scalable initiatives that enhance commercial performance and operational readiness. This position requires strong capability in market and competitor analysis, insight-driven decision support, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the organization’s competitive advantage and future growth trajectory.
The appointed individual will monitor socio-economic, political, and industry dynamics to anticipate risks and emerging opportunities, ensuring contingency strategies and scenario-based planning are developed proactively. The role integrates enterprise-wide initiatives into a unified execution roadmap, leads insights and analytics to enable effective plan delivery, and drives leadership reporting, stakeholder communication, and strategic alignment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, both domestically and regionally, the position also manages long-range planning, annual business plans, and rolling estimates while supporting operational improvements, resource planning, and performance outcomes across the organization.
The Person
The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s Degree (postgraduate studies are an advantage) and solid experience in strategic planning, business growth, or transformation roles, ideally within FMCG or related consumer-driven industries. They must be highly analytical, adept at interpreting market insights and data trends, and capable of translating these into actionable strategic recommendations with strong communication and presentation skills. They should demonstrate the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders, work effectively with regional or international partners, and manage discussions that balance long-term vision with short-term challenges.
