The Company

The company is an institutional investor that has been aggressively growing its APAC real estate investment from Singapore underpinned by substantial balance sheet and a growing pool of third-party capital. There is now a requirement to appoint an experienced real estate specialist to manage and report portfolio performance, risk and ESG analytics.

 

The Position

Based in Singapore, and reporting to the Head of Funds Management, the successful individual will enjoy a multifaceted position. This will include the management of investment risk comprising assessment of new acquisition targets and asset management (operational and Capex programmes, WALE and similar) and portfolio performance analysis and investor reporting whilst identifying variances from deal underwriting. The VP will also collaborate across departments to monitor, manage and meet ESG/sustainability targets and which will include assessment of new investment targets as well as reviews of the existing portfolio.

In essence, the appointed individual will act as a gatekeeper to ensure all proposed investments meet financial and ESG targets whilst assessing and flagging potential risk which may jeopardise such results.

 

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a Degree in Real Estate, Finance or Economics whilst offering a minimum of 5+ years professional experience within real estate investment management including functional exposure to risk management, portfolio and/or asset management and underpinned very strong financial modelling and analytics acumen. In addition, strong interest and knowledge relating to ESG / sustainability will be advantageous to support carbon pathway monitoring and reporting. The successful individual is likely to offer a mature, responsible and business-like attitude offering outstanding attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills to enable stakeholder liaison at all levels. Due to the regional coverage of the portfolio, aside from English, additional language proficiency, such as Mandarin or Japanese would be helpful.
