The Company

The organisation is an international Real Estate platform and in APAC this includes a highly diversified $10bn AUM portfolio of traditional, new economy and alternative assets supporting broad core and opportunistic strategies. In Tokyo, the firm now wishes to bolster its Asset Management team.

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Investment, the appointed individual will support the end-to-end of the asset management function especially for its value-add and opportunistic investments that consist of value-add AEI and/or new or brownfield development. The successfully appointed individual will drive performance and generate investment returns to the asset plan whilst also undertaking hold/sell analysis, financial and variance analysis, annual valuation exercises and reporting with respect to asset performance. Drawing upon a background in development, the appointed individual will oversee development / re-development exercises (technical due diligence, milestone management, budget management) whilst closely collaborating with appropriate leasing, marketing, property management and finance teams. Concurrently, the appointed individual will also be exposed to other commercial real estate assets.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree (Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture) from a noted University and around 6-10 years of relevant post-graduate experience. This should ideally have been secured within Developer and Fund Management/REIT environments whilst offering practical experience that includes both development management and asset management. As such, you will offer strong exposure to real estate fundamentals (brick and mortar development, AEI, asset positioning and underpinning operations, leasing & marketing) and sound asset P&L management / financial performance analysis including the end-to-end of the asset value creation.  Candidates will either be Japanese nationals or foreign talent with fluent Japanese and English language proficiency.
