The Company 

The organisation is an award-winning, international, vertically-integrated real estate developer, fund and asset manager boasting a broad and sizeable portfolio across all asset types including Grade A office through Data centres and CoWorking ventures. Its appetite includes Greenfield land development as well as fund-level asset/portfolio acquisitions whilst keenly evaluating new collaborative VC/PE and Smart-tech ventures. It now seeks an experienced Business Development professional to join its team in India.

 

The Position       

Based in either Mumbai or Bangalore whilst reporting to a Director (Investment/Asset Management), the appointed individual will be focused toward the research, identification and analysis of real estate-related business opportunities across India’s first-tier cities. This will include sourcing, evaluating and securing appropriate land for development or fund-accretive assets including potential JV partnerships (complete with deal structuring and terms negotiation) whilst incorporating investment feasibility studies and project due diligence, including capital requirements, for commercial viability. The role will include preparation of Investment memos for Board approval, quarterly and annual budget forecasts whilst closely monitoring asset performance.

 

The Person 

Interested candidates are expected to offer an MBA from a noted School and/or full CA / CFA accreditations to complement a Degree whilst offering at least 10+ years’ experience within a similar Real Estate Business Development/Investment Management function (Developer / Fund). Candidates should demonstrate end-to-end capability from strategic insight/direction, preliminary market research and deal underwriting/cashflow modelling through to a track record of successfully negotiated and completed land, asset and JV deals. Prior exposure to Mumbai/Bangalore, the demands and expectations of Foreign Funds, complete with crisp analysis and reporting, is strongly preferred.
