The Company

The company is an entrepreneurial international firm with Group headquarters based in SE Asia. In the USA, the firm consists of an operational contract manufacturing pharmaceutical plant and a second, recently-completed fully-integrated facility, dedicated to its core nutraceuticals (vitamins/health) & OTC medicines and supplements business comprising 300+ FDA-approved SKUs (pills/tablets/capsules/creams & gels) shipped across the US and to SE Asia. Although  small-scale and embracing a start-up culture, the business is poised for substantial growth as a result of planned organic growth and via completed and ongoing JV and M&A activity in well-established, successful brands. To support its expansion plans, the company is strengthening its senior leadership capability including its plan to appoint a Chief Executive Officer.

 

The Position

Reporting to the Group CEO, the appointed individual will drive commercial success for the organization and which include strong revenue growth underpinned by operational excellence and a well-motivated, inspired team. Supported by a COO and Head of Sales, this is an exciting time to join the firm and drive both organic and inorganic growth whilst establishing and implementing commercial strategy aligned to internal operational capability and a continuous drive for improvement/excellence. As such, the CEO will understand key market trends to identify growth opportunities and a commercial road-map for success whilst communicating the vision and mission across all departments (sales, marketing, product development, customer service, manufacturing and logistics). This will extend to exploration of investment and/or corporate alliances as well as day-to-day commercial enterprise. Naturally, whilst the key objective is profitable growth, there will be accompanying responsibility for financial governance and a need to meet FDA and cGMP compliance too.

The Person

Interested candidates should offer a Degree and, preferably, an MBA complemented by a wealth of relevant business management experience within a GMP/FDA environments including at least 10 years’ experience in cGMP/FDA environment. This experience will also be supported by extensive, well-rounded knowledge and experience of sales, manufacturing, distribution, product development, pricing and other commercial factors. Current or prior exposure to M&A/JV or the development and management of strategic alliances will be advantageous. Naturally, interested individuals will offer strong leadership, multi-tasking, decision-making and interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate whilst developing strategies for growth.
