The Company 

A first-class opportunity to join the real estate team of a well-respected global Private Equity firm. The PERE team is focused toward platform-building with significant focus toward logistics, data centre and life science assets, leveraging the international reach and market insights of its generalist parent as well as its regional real estate track record to build long-term value.

 

The Position       

Based in Singapore, the appointed individual(s) will undertake a multifaceted role comprising three core components. Two of these relate to building deep commercial insights into the life science ecosystem, including relationship-building with institutional healthcare stakeholders (University Research teams, health regulators, Government ministries and similar) and complemented by business development across the private sector pharmaceutical industry to understand commercial direction, market expansion and underpinning need, and APAC location, for state-of-the-art medical laboratory facilities. The final component will be a need to understand the technical real estate needs of the life science / medical lab sector and translating those into solutions that can be integrated into an investment thesis and commercial business model that will be enthusiastically received. The overall purpose is to create a regional, scalable, life science real estate proposition that will meet the needs of the pharmaceutical sector. Naturally, the individual(s) will closely collaborate with the internal real estate investment and fund management team to develop and fine-tune the proposition and to steer subsequent execution as well as managing ongoing business relationships.

 

The Person 

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree and at least 10 years’ post-graduate experience most likely consisting of commercial and/or technical exposure to the life science medical laboratory sector. As such, likely prospects will include business development/corporate development/partner development professionals offering deep relationships and market insights with respect to pharmaceutical companies and their technical/commercial partners. Similarly, real estate business development or development management professionals with commercial and technical appreciation for medical lab facilities will be welcomed.
