The Company

The company is an established PE firm with a first-rate, collaborative and collegiate team culture and with a focus toward the Myanmar market. It holds a portfolio of investments and anticipates future capital-raising for an additional Fund as the country stabilizes post-pandemic. Its commitment as a responsible and ethical investor includes rigorous attention to ESG compliance across portfolio companies and new investments and it now seeks to appoint an ESG Analyst.

 

The Position

Reporting to a Senior Manager (Risk/ESG) whilst working closely with the investment team, the ESG Analyst will develop and maintain appropriate systems, processes and management control systems for all ESG documents. These relate to investments made by the firm to stringent investment and Best Practice guidelines and/or regulations that positively and ethically impact the growth of companies in Myanmar. This will include the need to implement practices and constantly monitor investee companies to meet all environmental and social governance standards and to ensure any shortfall is corrected via ongoing training and education within each portfolio company. The Analyst will also fully support the investment process and associated transactions; the latter will include risk management / ESG due diligence assessment and reporting. The Analyst monitor local legislative amendments which may impact portfolio company performance. As a result, the appointed Analyst will positively support investor value creation whilst also protecting the firm’s interests with respect to responsible and ethical investing.

 

The Person

This is a permanent position in Yangon. Interested candidates will be Myanmar nationals who offer a good Degree (secured overseas), an excellent command of English and between 1-3 years’ post-graduate experience secured within a top-tier corporate environment most likely within an ESG, Government Relations, Risk Management or similar function.
