The Company

The group’s core activities are primarily centered around the energy and oil & gas sectors, including downstream energy operations, fuel trading, logistics, and distribution.

As part of its integrated energy strategy, the organization operates power generation assets that support industrial and national energy supply.

The Position

The General Manager – Coal Power Plant will oversee the operations and performance of the group’s coal-fired power generation facility. The role will ensure plant reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while managing engineering, maintenance, and generation performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the overall operations and maintenance of the coal-fired power plant
• Ensure high plant availability, reliability, and generation efficiency
• Manage engineering, maintenance, and plant performance teams
• Oversee fuel supply coordination and generation planning
• Implement plant safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs
• Lead capital improvement and plant modernization initiatives
• Manage operational budgets and plant performance metrics

The Person

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in power generation operations, ideally within coal-fired or thermal power plants. The individual should possess strong technical knowledge of power plant engineering, operations management, and reliability programs while demonstrating the leadership capability to manage large operational teams. Experience working within energy infrastructure projects and operating in complex regulatory environments will be important for ensuring safe and efficient power generation.
