The Company

Our client is a diversified conglomerate expanding across Southeast Asia, managing a portfolio of businesses across multiple industries. The group’s core activities are primarily centered around the energy and oil & gas sectors, including downstream energy operations, fuel trading, logistics, and distribution.

As part of its long-term diversification strategy, the group is expanding into healthcare services including hospital development, healthcare infrastructure, and related medical services across the region. To support this, there is an immediate need to appoint a seasoned Business Development Director.

The Position

The Business Development Director – Hospital Chains will lead the strategic development and expansion of the group’s healthcare platform. The role will identify investment opportunities, develop partnerships with medical institutions, and drive the establishment or acquisition of hospital and healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and evaluate opportunities for hospital investments, acquisitions, or joint ventures
• Lead feasibility studies, business planning, and project development for hospital projects
• Build partnerships with medical professionals, healthcare operators, and international healthcare groups
• Support the development of hospital infrastructure, clinical services, and operational models
• Work closely with government stakeholders and regulators within the healthcare sector
• Drive expansion of hospital networks, specialist clinics, and healthcare service platforms
• Support capital planning and investment structuring for healthcare initiatives

The Person

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in healthcare investments, hospital operations, or healthcare business development. The individual should demonstrate the ability to evaluate healthcare projects, structure partnerships, and drive new hospital developments within emerging markets. A strong understanding of healthcare infrastructure, hospital management models, and regulatory frameworks will be important. The candidate should also possess strong stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with medical professionals, investors, and government agencies.
