The Company

The company is a dynamic, sector-agnostic Private Equity arm of a multi-sector conglomerate. Located in IndoChina, it seeks to invest in early-stage SME and Tech-focused growth opportunities across SE Asia. It has a growing portfolio and which it will look to aggressively expand over the coming years. To enable this, the firm wishes to appoint an experienced Investment Director.

The Position 

Reporting to the CEO, the appointed individual will lead a lean deal team whilst enjoying broad end-to-end responsibility for origination, evaluation, valuation underwriting and execution of SME and Tech/FinTech investments complete with terms negotiation and deal structuring. This will include conducting appropriate market and sector research, the development of investment strategy and theses, developing qualitative and quantitative assessment of future trends underpinned by financial analysis. Additional responsibility will include portfolio management to drive performance and deliver anticipated investment returns as well as general support to capital-raising and capital markets initiatives.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer Degree and/or Masters’ (Finance/Economics) and CFA/CAIA accreditations, a minimum of 10+ years’ PE/VC/Corporate Finance/M&A experience preferably underpinned by 3-4 years foundation gained within strategy consulting. Investment experience should include a successful track record as deal-leader for SME and Technology-driven investments with an ‘emerging markets’ focus. Naturally, the appointed individual will offer extremely strong acumen relating to investment underwriting, terms negotiation, deal-structuring and portfolio management and prior experience working within a vibrant, multicultural team. A strong command of English and Mandarin is essential.

In return, the company will offer an annual nett salary in the region of USD$180-210k+/- plus benefits.
