The company is an expanding boutique Real Estate Private Equity platform with a focus toward investment and asset management of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation. Combining entrepreneurial flair with effective capital-raising, the firm has established a European portfolio and it now seeks to replicate this in the North America and Asia markets. To support its growth plans, there is a desire to secure an appropriately experienced Investment Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Investment, the successful individual will have a superb opportunity to support the firms’ expansion whilst performing end-to-end engagement from pipeline development, deal underwriting and execution for new acquisitions. Naturally, this will require a hands-on, full life-cycle capability from research, evaluation, running financial models, drafting Investment Memos and deal structuring. Necessarily, there will be a need to cultivate and maintain key relationships with sector stakeholders (land/asset owners, operators, brokers, bankers, lawyers) whilst maintaining a healthy interest and awareness of student accommodation opportunities that may emerge in Europe, North America and Asia.
Interested candidates will ideally offer a Degree in Real Estate, Finance or similarly related subject, whilst offering 5-8 years’ post-graduate experience. Interested candidates must offer the gravitas required to build relationships complemented by a track record of success underwriting and and closing real estate transactions. Prior experience managing and completing Student Accommodation transactions is preferred whilst an ability to build financial models, interpret financial information, prepare investment memos and apply critical, commercial thought processes to support investment theses will similarly be essential. A self-motivated, organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a lively, inquiring mind and a flexible disposition will also be pre-requisite facets.
