The Company 

The organisation is a well-established, boutique Real Estate fund manager comprising Core, Opportunistic and Separate Account fund strategies and with a diversified portfolio of assets (logistics, office, retail, student accommodation, DC and hospitality) located across the first-tier APAC markets. The platform is looking to bolster its team with the appointment in Tokyo of an Analyst/Senior Analyst or Associate to support investment deal underwriting and asset/portfolio management for a Hospitality Fund.

The Position       

Reporting to the MD (Japan), whilst closely collaborating with senior acquisition and asset management colleagues, the appointed individual will enjoy a well-rounded role that will primarily support hospitality investments. This will include analysis, underwriting and preparation of Investment Committee memos relating to new investments, analysis & portfolio performance management at asset and fund level as well as participating in property budget and strategy planning processes, the evaluation and due diligence of AEI proposals, annual valuation exercises and preparation of investor reports.

The Person 

Interested candidates will offer a strong Degree (Real Estate, Finance/Economics) from a noted University and between 2-5 years of relevant post-graduate experience. This should have been secured within a real estate fund/investor complete with strong exposure to financial modelling, due diligence and performance analysis of hospitality assets. Whilst the preference is to appoint a Japanese national with native language proficiency, non-resident applicants offering fluent bi-lingual English and Japanese proficiency will also be considered.
