The Company

The company is an institutional investor that is aggressively growing its APAC real estate investment from its regional hub in Singapore. Underpinned by substantial balance sheet and a growing pool of third-party capital, funds under management have grown to an impressive $10bn+. It wishes to appoint a Senior Asset Manager to provide technical, environmental and sustainability-focused expertise and stewardship across its regional portfolio.

 

The Position

Based in Singapore, and reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the successful individual will provide expertise across the region to advise appropriate technical and environmental due diligence for the current asset portfolio and proposed new acquisitions whilst also leading and driving sustainability and innovation initiatives to improve sustainability performance. In particular, there will be heavy focus upon energy- and utilities-related solutions and building maintenance to enhance and improve environmental impact as well cost efficiency. This may include risk analysis, building commissioning and defects management for newly-acquired assets as well ongoing building improvement measures within the existing portfolio, underpinned by cost/benefit feasibility studies. Much of the role will focus upon innovation and future-proofing each asset, such that the sustainability measures meet and exceed the needs/expectations of investors, tenants and local authorities. The appointed individual will develop policies, drive ideation for innovation, engage with external technical consultants for implementation whilst also monitoring, measuring, analysing and reporting performance measures related to each implemented solution.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering whilst offering around 10+ years appropriate experience and track record within technical engineering, preferably including asset sustainability and energy solutions The appointed individual will be collaborative yet able to work independently whilst offering a combination of strong analytical and communication skills including broad stakeholder management.
