The Company

The company is an expanding, collegiate, boutique Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) platform with a focus toward integrated investment, development and asset management of ‘living’ assets (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation and Multifamily). Combining entrepreneurial flair with effective capital-raising, the firm has established a European portfolio and it will replicate this for the US and Japan markets. There is now a desire to bolster its investment team with the appointment of either an Associate/Senior Associate or VP.

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Investment, the appointed individual will manage full life-cycle deal origination, underwriting, execution and transaction completion for new acquisitions across all markets and which will necessarily include managing overseas counterparties and steering all transaction documentation. The role will subsequently include ongoing portfolio analysis and reporting at the asset- and fund-level whilst also overseeing development planning and budgeting and/or AEI capex works, as necessary. As such, the position is very well-rounded comprising deal-making, execution and portfolio management whilst inculcating strong stakeholder relationships.

The Person

Interested candidates will ideally offer a Degree in Real Estate, Economics/Business or Finance and around 5+ years’ post-graduate experience within PERE, IB or real estate corporate finance. A CFA accreditation is desirable whilst strong financial analytics and cashflow models (LBO/DCF) is essential. Interested candidates should offer strong origination experience, preferably with exposure to development projects, and excellent interpersonal and organisation skills given the dynamic nature of the international portfolio.
