It now seeks a highly experienced Speech Writer with corporate communications expertise to support wide-ranging corporate citizenship activities.

The Position

The appointed individual will be the Lead Speech Writer for two (2) Senior Executives and provide ad hoc back up for other Senior management and Executive Directors on various topics. You will research, draft and edit high-quality and high impact speeches and talking points in various avenues and platforms. Occasionally, turn a translation of a speech in Arabic into English. Naturally, you will constantly identify speaking opportunities for the executives to reach a broader audience worldwide.

The Person

This position requires a bachelor’s Degree and/or an advanced degree from a world class academic institution. You should be currently writing speeches at the highest levels in the energy industry, ideally in the Upstream sector of a major Oil and Gas player. Additional experience in communications and speech writing in the government or NGO would be advantageous. You will have proven experience in engaging and influencing senior executives. A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications and 3 years of speech writing experience with knowledge and understanding in the oil and gas industry is a MUST. This appointment requires native English language proficiency.
