The Company

The company is a prominent player in Myanmar’s fast-moving consumer goods and beverage sector, operating an extensive commercial footprint across both modern and traditional trade channels. With a diverse product portfolio and strong engagement across key customer segments, the organization is focused on elevating its commercial capability, deepening market penetration, and strengthening its competitive position. In response to evolving consumer behavior, channel shifts, and market complexity, the Group is seeking an accomplished Commercial Director to lead national commercial strategy and execution.

 

The Position

Reporting to senior leadership, the Commercial Director will lead the development and implementation of the organization’s national commercial strategy. This includes defining channel priorities, determining market–channel combinations, and driving commercial performance across volume, revenue, and market share objectives. The appointed individual will oversee the creation of channel strategies based on shopper and consumer behavior insights, channel economics, and category opportunities.

A key part of the role involves aligning with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize Route to Market (RTM) strategies, establish execution standards, and build best-practice playbooks that reinforce strong commercial capability across regions. The Commercial Director will define performance metrics, evaluate channel data systems, and identify opportunities to enhance commercial analytics and reporting. The position will lead commercial marketing teams, guide development of channel expertise, and foster strong alignment with partners to drive joint performance. Additional responsibilities include spearheading occasion-based marketing programs, capturing new customer opportunities, driving innovation across the Myanmar market.

 

The Person

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, with a Master’s Degree preferred. Candidates should bring 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience within the FMCG, beverage, or consumer-oriented industries, with a strong record of designing and implementing channel strategies that deliver measurable growth.

The role demands strong leadership and people development capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex, multi-channel environments. Candidates must possess strong commercial acumen, financial awareness, and the ability to interpret market and shopper insights to shape effective strategies.
