The Company 

Headquartered in Singapore, whilst enjoying the capital support of a noted Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) platform, the company is poised for growth across SE Asia with respect to its development, operation and management of a colocation data centre portfolio. Steered by a seasoned, cosmopolitan management team, the company combines deep knowledge across the real estate and data centre life-cycle whilst retaining a nimble, entrepreneurial and empowering culture. The firm is building a core team and this now includes the appointment of an experienced Data Centre Manager for Malaysia.

The Position       

Based in KL, whilst reporting to a Director of Technical Operations, the appointed individual will manage day-to-day DC operations complete with ongoing responsibility for asset-level operations, maintenance and performance. This will require the implementation of standard operating processes, including some input into new DC design, whilst meeting technical and operational expectations of cornerstone customers. Responsibility will include capacity management, incident response protocols and meeting key SLA, KPI, budget and capacity management whilst overseeing localised business continuity planning, risk and safety-related matters. Last, but not least, the appointee will manage operational P&L whilst optimising process efficiency and which will underpin investment return and ongoing expansionary growth.

This is a superb opportunity for a confident and experienced DC Manager to join a company at its nascent stage of growth. It best suits an experienced Owner’s representative and NOT an individual whose experience has been gained from within a corporate tenant/user.

The Person 

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering) preferably with 8+ years of Data Centre operations experience and at least 3+ years in the capacity of DC Manager with asset-level P&L/budget management responsibility. Interested candidates should offer proven leadership credentials to steer a DC asset, financial acumen and a strong ability to manage key operational deliverables (KPIs, Customer Service Level Agreements). A record of establishing new assets from the design and construction phase through ongoing operations management would be advantageous as will be a strong language proficiency in both English and Bahasa.
